Q: Will any of this hurt?
A: Dr. Schneider and his team pride themselves on going the extra mile to make each visit as comfortable and relaxing as possible. Dr. Schneider and his team have continued hundreds of hours of specialized training to deliver anesthetics (pain numbing medications). The entire team is very aware that each patient wants to be treated with gentle care and always goes above and beyond to help you. That is why the Schneider office is furnished with lots of little extras such as, pillows, blankets, headsets and TV’s in each patient room.
Q: If it doesn’t hurt, why is the dentist telling me I have to fix it now?
A: With your health, prevention is almost always the best medicine, not to mention the most affordable option. Often avoided treatment can result in need for emergency care or further deterioration of an oral health problem only to require a great investment of time and money. Creating a reasonable timeline for needed treatment is the most effective way to care for your mouth and for yourself. In Dr. Schneider’s office, we believe that financial considerations should not be an obstacle to obtaining optimum oral health. Q: Can you put me to sleep for my treatment?
A: Yes! Many patients are thrilled to learn they don’t have to stress about the idea of going to the dentist for their treatment. Dr. Schneider offers both oral and IV sedation for your comfort.

Q: I haven’t been to the dentist in many years, how many appointments will I need?
A: Our Sleep Visit Total Dentistry Method allows you to have your mouth fully restored in one comprehensive procedure while you are asleep and with no pain. Contact us to find out if this method is right for you.
Q: How long is the recovery from sedation or sleep dentistry?
A: We advise that you go home and rest for the remainder of the day following your procedure. You may not drive yourself on that day, and a friend or companion should stay with you for a period of time to make sure your needs are met. Most people will resume all their normal activities the following day.
Q: Will I need to have a ride home after my sleep dentistry visit?
A: If you have treatment utilizing oral conscious sedation or I.V. sedation, you will need to have a responsible person to drive you to the office and home again.

Each treatment suite is equipped with personal entertainment systems, so that you may watch TV or a DVD while Dr. Schneider and the team perform dentistry.
